Graduated in Fashion Design from the Candido Mendes Fashion School in 2002. There is 17 years that Marcello De Santis began his career as fashion designer with the early age of 19. He participated at the Innovamoda contest in July 2002 that selected talents from all over Brazil and it was his first chance to make his own sho in São Paulo.
In 2003, during the winter edition of Fashion Rio, the very young designer presented his brand among the New Creators, where it remained for two editions. The creator worked as fashion assistant for important brands in brazilian’s scenario such as Maria Bonita and Santa Ephigenia.
Just after, he worked during 3 years like costume designer assistant at Rede Globo de Televisão, most reputated telecommunications company in Latin America. At the place, the designer acquired much culture of the history and evolution of clothes and the textiles. He has a post-graduate degree at the reputaded Senai-Cetiqt College in Printing Design and he was the first brazilian to win a scholarship for the Master Women's Wear Desigs at the Istituto Marangoni in Paris.
Marcello De Santis worked for 1 year at Maison Kenzo where he developed prints for the women's collection. After this experience, he worked as Sales associate in the luxury department at Maison Valentino where he stayed for 2 years and then at Louis Vuitton Malletier where he also stayed during 2 years.
During his experience in the luxury world, Marcello began to dedicate himself to manual works by sewing, embroidering, renewing lace and old embroideries, beginning the return of his own brand: Decided to create an entirely artisanal and sustainable brand, using ancient materials/textiles with an urban and also bohemian spirit. The label Marcello De Santis was relaunched in Brazil in July 2018 and now the designer ir launching his second collection.
